We would like to have a big shout out to the volunteers which came to help on the Sunday set up and during the day on Monday. With your support, you have helped the Games be another successful year again.

We would like to thank all the spectators and competitors which attended the Games on Monday, we are getting bigger and bigger and we are pleased to see everyone having an amazing time.

Heading to Burntisland Fairground this weekend or the Highland Games on Monday?

It's set to be a busy few days, so here are some quick tips to help you make the most of your visit.

If you can, leave the car at home and use public transport. Burntisland train station is just a short distance away and there are plenty of local bus services too.

The Showman's Guild will be operating a car park at Haugh Road for £5 per car, which includes a shuttle bus to and from the Links. Blue Badge holders can park free of charge at Links Place car park.

Don’t park on the grass at the Links – it’s a busy area with lots of children about, and emergency access must be kept clear. If you’re parking elsewhere, be responsible and make sure you’re within marked bays, don’t double park, and don’t block driveways, pavements or access for emergency vehicles.

There’ll be hot food stalls if you fancy a burger or snack, or feel free to bring a picnic. Please use the bins provided. If they’re full, find another or take your rubbish home. And please don't feed the gulls, they're cheeky enough already!

Extra loos are available next to the public toilets at Links Place, including baby changing and accessible facilities. More toilets can be found at the other end of the fairground too.

Bringing a dog? Keep them on a lead and clean up after them. It’s a busy, noisy environment – please think about whether it’s the right place for your pet. And never leave them in the car. Remember - dogs are not allowed to go into the Highland Games arena, even those on leads, with the exception of service dogs.

Be prepared for the weather, this is Scotland after all! Pack sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses... and maybe a waterproof too, just in case!
