Lovely event to mark the arrival of spring. Join Super Slow Way at Finsley Gate Wharf next Friday 20th of March. FREE and all welcome.

Join us next Friday for our Spring Equinox at Stephen Turner’s Exbury Egg! 🥚

At the Spring Equinox we will gather at the Exbury Egg to welcome the return of light and plant wild garlic in the Egg Garden.

Long associated with protection, renewal and the first foods of the year, wild garlic meets the egg - an ancient symbol of new life. Afterwards, we’ll share Eggman’s famous eggy bread with wild garlic butter to celebrate the turning of the season. This event is free and all are welcome to attend!

Lots of great FREE activities starting this month from Super Slow Way at The Exbury Egg at Finsley Gate. On Weds (from 21st) The Egg is open for general admission, chat with Egg custodian, Ruth with a brew on hand and cosy log fire to sit by. There is also the chance to take part in Ruth’s collaborative drawing activity. On Fridays (from 22nd) join Artist and Horticulturalist Ian Halawi at friendly and relaxed sessions to take part in designing and creating a garden for the Egg. Also on Fridays (from 30th) join Andrea Westall to create an egg themed patchwork blanket for the newly renovated seating area in the Egg. You will be able to hand sew and embroider your own Egg patch to be included on the blanket. There are “non sew” options available and a child friendly session during February half term.
