We regret to announce that BRIERCLIFFE SOCIAL CLUB has closed down and ceased trading from today onwards.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Club over the years.

Current members will be contacted in the coming weeks to be informed of the arrangements for disposal of assets.

We are very sorry to hear of the passing of Caroline Horsfield, a long time member of BRIERCLIFFE SOCIAL CLUB who sadly passed away last week.

She regularly attended all our entertainment evenings and was always first on the dance floor.
Shown here in the Club celebrating her 40th birthday a few years ago.

Her funeral will be on Thursday 3rd July. 10.45am at St Luke’s Church, Brierfield followed at 12.15pm at Burnley Crematorium.

All are welcome and you are welcome to wear claret and blue but no football shirts, please.

Refreshments afterwards at The Doctor Ivan suite at Turf Moor.

There will be family flowers only. Donations, if you wish, can be made to Open Door Centre in Colne.

Thursday's quiz night was successful at
BRIERCLIFFE SOCIAL CLUB

The event organised by "Burnley & Pendle Quiz League" raised much needed funds for Pendleside Hospice.

We even had to bring in extra chairs and tables from adjoining rooms and set them up on the dance floor to accommodate the number of quiz teams.

Excellent use of our popular function room.

Tuesday night is match night for the ladies darts team at
BRIERCLIFFE SOCIAL CLUB

Pictured here are team members (centre) who raised a fantastic amount of money over the past 12 months.

Thank you to the 'Support After Su***de Group', who raised an outstanding £12,370 over the past year with their numerous fundraising events.

The money raised by the group will go towards providing 1-2-1 counselling sessions and care bags to support families who have lost a love one to su***de.

Sharon Chapman who formed the group, supports Pendleside Hospice Bereaved by Su***de Support Group. If you know anyone who has been affected by su***de who may want to attend the group please call the Family Support Team on 01282 440102.
