Changing Times - CYPRUS HALL, 19 May 2026, 8.15pm: ‘Messages Through Time and Space'

On Tuesday 19 May at 8pm, the Changing Times lectures at Cyprus Hall in Burgess Hill present a special double-bill with Neil Ward and Ben Emlyn-Jones of the popular Paranormal Peep Show podcast. This promises to be a fascinating evening from two well-known researchers of the unexplained.

From mysterious signals echoing through the cosmos to eerie messages seemingly sent across decades, humans have always been fascinated by communication that transcends ordinary limits. These talks explore two different but equally intriguing forms of “messages”: those that reach across time, and those from the vastness of space …

Part 1 of the evening will see Neil Ward explore 'The Dodleston Messages'. Neil says: "Back in 1984, when the first BBC Micro computers were being issued to schools in the UK, no one had heard of the Internet because it wasn’t then used by the public. So it was a complete shock for a school teacher to start receiving strange messages on his computer – but even more shocking when the sender then claimed he was from the year 1583 ..."

Part 2 will see Ben Emlyn-Jones present 'SETI and UFOs'. Ben says: "SETI, the Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence and messages from space is a scientific project to find intelligent life beyond the Earth. But so is ufology. Then why are the two so divided from each other..? It is time to look at the bizarre paradoxes around this."

The evening starts at 8pm. £8 entry available on the door only. Find out more at: www.changingtimes.org.uk
