With so many videos and photos flying around I thought it would be nice to share a few of my own which capture parts of the festival you maybe didn't see..

1) Christian Lee of 'Lees of Bungay' repairing the electrical supply at zero notice at 9.00am on Sunday morning at the folk picnic. His wife opened the door to a very stressed festival director and said 'he'll be out in 2 minutes'. Half an hour later we had a stable supply. We cannot thank you enough!

2) Hannah from 'Rambling Roots 'juggling child care and the day job

3) A red admiral sunning itself on the corner of a portaloo

4) The sand bucket which Seamus from Bull of the Woods didn't notice when he drove off in search of more b**r.

5) Our wonderful festival flags which came from Angliaprint in Beccles and even three years in look spanking new. Invest in quality and look after the planet!

6) Paul Ivany's lorry which delivered the stage at 8am and promptly broke down!

7) This years only unclaimed lost property - a pack of cardamom pods

The dust hasn't quite settled yet....
There are so many people we want to thank for coming to BFF2026 and helping to make it an incredible weekend. Too many for a simple post so we will create something a little more fitting when we have finally put the festival to bed.

However we do want to thank all of you that know Bungay well and what we are trying to create here for coming back. We also want to thank the new friends we made this weekend who took a punt on us and booked some shows and maybe camped for the weekend for trusting in the vision and ethos that underpins BFF2026. A festival that believes everyone should have access to top quality music and dance regardless of your financial position. And that education unlocks the key to music - enabling everyone, young and old, to experiment with song, dance and instrumentation and the benefits it brings to community and our overall health and well-being.
Pompous sounding? Possibly but why not be ambitious!
Even AI did us a massive favour this year as our wonderful French volunteer - Laura - travelled all the way from Montpellier on the recommendation of Chat GBT!
However; We are making the assumption that you enjoyed BFF2026 and would like BFF2027 to happen.
If so you can do two things....

1) Become a friend of the festival (The first QR code)
https://www.bungayfolkfestival.co.uk/friends-of-bff
We have over 50 friends already paying £5 a month. If we had 200 friends we can put on the same level of 'free' workshops and shows next year.
Either that or donate (the second QR code) to express your thanks for what was put on this year. Aim your phone camera at the QR code.

2) Complete the feedback survey. This enables us to apply for grants which also underpins our finances. This will be in the next post.

Thank-you

I bumped into Oleg and Simone yesterday as they were scoping out the theatre ready for their show this evening with The Rabbitts.

They are in infectious and excitable couple who will put on an incredible show tonight.
Tickets still available just £12. You can book online or direct from the box office. All other shows in The Fisher are free today but please get your ticket first to avoid disappointment.

If you are at any of the shows in the Fisher Theatre this evening please check out the hangings which James Mayhew painted for us just last week - they looked spectacular with a spotlight on them.

And here is a picture of Andy Warwick who has stepped in at the last minute to play a gig in the There Tuns Cellar at 3.45pm
The cellar was electrifying last night where Loose Chickens played their first gig together.

The Royal British Legion is a little gem hidden away behind St Mary's Street. Simon Tall is waiting there with his PA and lights and a host of great artists. It starts today with John and Pauline Pearce at 4.30pm
Walk down St Mary's Street away from the Church heading South and this is what you will see!
