📣 THE FUTURE OF BROMSGROVE CARNIVAL: WE NEED YOU.
We're sitting here today with a bit of a heavy heart. You might have seen the news that our neighbours over at both Stourport Carnival and Wolverley Carnival have had to make the incredibly difficult decision to cancel their 2026 events! And with Redditch Carnival also missing from the calendar for a few years now, it’s a sobering reminder that these community traditions aren't guaranteed. They don't just "happen."
The truth is, we are feeling the exact same pressures...
Running a free event on this scale for Bromsgrove is becoming a monumental mountain to climb.
We are facing:
-Skyrocketing costs for everything from insurance to lorries to stages.
-Dwindling funding - we rely solely on donations, sponsorships and stall fees. No other funding is provided.
-A tiny team of volunteers who are working their socks off behind the scenes.
We LOVE this carnival. We love seeing the streets lined with smiling faces and the incredible effort the local groups put into their floats and performances. We are doing everything humanly possible behind the scenes to keep the Bromsgrove Carnival alive and kicking for 2026.
But we can’t do it alone anymore.
If you’ve ever thought, "I’d love to help out with that," now is the time to speak up. We don't need your whole life - just a bit of your time and your passion.
How you can help:
-Volunteer: Whether it’s helping with the planning now or marshalling on the day, we need boots on the ground.
-Local Businesses: We need sponsors. If you can help us with funding, or provide infrastructure (trucks, barriers, printing), please, let’s talk. You’ll be helping save a piece of Bromsgrove history.
This is our town. This is our carnival. Let's make sure it stays that way.
