The Junction Broadstone 1/4 Marathon

The Junction Broadstone 1/4 Marathon Start your new year off with an accurately measured – 2 lap course around Broadstone! A fast, undulating course, starting and finishing at The Junction!

The Junction Broadstone 1/4 Marathon race is two laps anticlockwise around the triangle encompassing Dunyeats Road, Lower Blandford Road and Gravel Hill. This year’s event is once more the first race in the DRRL calendar and raising funds for the of sporting facilities and equipment for the youth and disabled of Broadstone.

The paperwork is done, the numbers are laid out ready for collection and we're ready to welcome all the runners and spectators in the morning!

Just a quick reminder to bring any non-perishable food items that you can spare for the Food Bank collection please. 🙏

It's going to be another lovely crisp day tomorrow with more sunny spells but there is still some frost (not sheet ice) on the course so please select your footwear appropriately.

The presentations will be in the bar on the first floor of The Junction starting at approximately 12.5 so please come along and support your friends and club mates.

May I wish all the entrants and their supporters a very Happy New Year. I will see you all in the morning.

!! NOW COMPLETELY SOLD OUT !!

We closed the entry list earlier today as the race was full but one place has become available to the first taker tonight! After that, we will not be able to take any more entries. However, if you can find someone who can no longer run, we will accept race transfers until Monday 29th December. Final race instructions will be sent out on 28th December but general instructions are available now on the web page above.

Many apologies that the server for our web page decided to go out of action last night. It is now up and running again so I have put the race entry list as of 9.30 a.m. on Monday 15/12 on the Broadstone Quarter Marathon web page at https://poolerunners.co.uk/broadstone-quarter/

The running numbers have arrived so will be ready for collection either on New Year's Eve between 10.30 a.m. and 12 noon or on the day from 9 a.m., both from the Main Hall at The Junction Leisure Centre (Race HQ).

Race instructions will be sent out by email in the week between Christmas and New Year. If you need to transfer your entry to someone else, transfers are available until midnight on 29.12.25.

I was going to publish a list of entries to date tonight (Sunday) but we currently have an internal server error so I can't upload a list. I will do this on Monday and will let entrants know via this page.

We are now almost 95% full so if you or anyone you know is still thinking of entering, please let them know this otherwise they may well miss out! As this is the first DRRL race for 2026, that could be a double blow!

!! WE'RE ALMOST 90% FULL !!

If you are still thinking of entering the Broadstone Quarter Marathon on New Year's Day, please don't delay or you may well miss out. Entries are continuing to come in thick and fast! I will publish a list for you to check your details on Sunday night (14/12).

We are making arrangements for race numbers to be available for collection on NEW YEAR'S EVE between 10.30 and 12 noon in the Main Hall at The Junction Leisure Centre (race HQ) for those who wish to do this. If you are asking someone to collect your number on your behalf, we will need a signed note with the name you entered under, your date of birth and the name of the person authorised to collect your number for you. The main number collection will be on race day from 9 a.m.

We are again doing a collection for Corfe Mullen food bank so please pick up an extra something when you're doing your Christmas shopping. They have plenty of pasta at the moment but will welcome any non-perishable food items.

Entries continue to pour in for this popular race - the first in the 2026 DRRL series - with 3½ weeks to go to race day! Don't delay putting in your entry or you may well miss out!

We are going to make arrangements for collection of race numbers on New Year's Eve for any runners who wish to do Parkrun as a warm up and then come on to do the Quarter Marathon. Further details to follow but you will be able to collect numbers for your friends and club members too. The main number collection will be from 9 a.m. on New Year's Day.

MAKE YOUR NEW YEAR'S DAY COUNT WITH THE BROADSTONE QUARTER MARATHON 2026. CHECK YOUR ENTRY DETAILS NOW!

Entries have been flooding in over the weekend. We've had over 30 entries in 24 hours so I have updated the entry list. Please check that your entry is correct by going to https://poolerunners.co.uk/broadstone-quarter/
If you spot any errors, please let us know as soon as possible.

Some runners have asked if they can collect their numbers before race day as they want to use Parkrun as a warm up and then come to Broadstone for the race start at 10.30. We are therefore making arrangements for this and will publish details on the web page above and on this page. Watch this space!

If you haven't entered the race yet, don't risk missing out! This is the first race in the Dorset Road Race League Series for 2026 and is always a brilliant start to the New Year!
