RARE OPPORTUNITY! 💙
Polzeath Marine Conservation Group and Centre have an incredible volunteering opportunity available for this summer!
Due to a last-minute change in circumstances, this rare opportunity is now recruiting at short notice.
They are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Ranger or Student Ranger to join them for the 2026 summer season in beautiful Polzeath to run their amazing Marine Centre activities.
Their main season runs from 1 June to 31 August but are happy to discuss flexible arrangements around dates, hours, and terms for the right person.
We aim to open the Marine Centre 7 days a week from 11am–5pm (with some flexibility), and the Ranger would typically work 5 days per week.
Activities include:
🌊 Leading or assisting with rockpool rambles
🌊 Running beach combs and helping with our twice-monthly beach cleans
🌊 Supporting activities in the Marine Centre
🌊 Helping with Crafty Wednesdays, creative family activities
🌊 Chatting with visitors about local wildlife, conservation, and the coast
🌊 Assisting with the day-to-day running of the Centre
The role is varied, practical, people-focused, and ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and engaging with the public.
The voluntary role is unpaid but ACCOMODATION IS PROVIDED.
