We are deeply saddened by the death of former Same Sky Artistic Director John Varah.

Through the Children’s Parade, Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival had the privilege of witnessing firsthand John’s passion for and belief in community and the arts, which brought creativity, joy and colour to thousands of people across the city for more than twenty years – as these photos show. He leaves an extraordinary legacy.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues.
