Thanks once again to Retro Ralph for another afternoon packed full of musical entertainment.

This week we welcome back The Bushman Brothers.

They are deservedly very highly-regarded and we're fortunate to have them back so soon after their appearance last year.

If you saw them then, you'll no doubt want to see them again, and if you didn't, you really should this time!

It'll be the usual start time, give or take, so don't be late.

A great afternoon's music last week from The Undivided, enjoyed by all.

This week is Bank Holiday, so what better way of spending a Sunday afternoon than relaxing (and dancing) in the company of Retro Ralph. Starting around 4 (give or take) finishing sometime later!

The Freedom Riders kept us entertained last Sunday playing some great funky tunes. This week sees the return of a band who quickly became very popular playing great music from 80s, 90s 00s and more - The Undivided.

Thanks to The Blackjacks for a great afternoon last Sunday. This week sees the return of The Freedom riders. A six-piece band who had us all up and dancing on their last visit (October), playing music from the 60s to the present, well worth seeing! Usual time (around 4).

In bowls news, we had a great turnout for our May Day Madness pairs tournament, the A team started their league campaign with a win at Hollingbury, the B team begin on Tuesday with a home match (and the A team are also at home if you want to come and see some bowls) and we had our first friendly of the season at Portslade (though from a personal perspective the less said about that the better). There are more friendlies coming up, sign-up in the clubhouse or watch out for announcements on WhatsApp. The Thursday evening drawn pairs has recommenced for the new season, a fun evening to be enjoyed, always open to new members. Finally the county tournaments have also started, good luck to all particpants.

Thanks to Retro Ralph last sunday, A full afternoon of great tunes and everyone up and dancing.

It's been a while, but this Sunday we welcome back The Blackjacks with some great Rhythm & Blues. If you've seen them before, you'll know how good they sound, and if you haven't, come and find out! A great way to spend a Bank Holiday Sunday!

See you also on Monday, when we're open for our Mayday Madness pairs competition (10 o'clock start). Its too late to enter but you can come down and watch. Should be fun.

Thanks to Take 2 for keeping us entertained last week.

This week, the return of Retro Ralph, the man with loads of songs to get you up and dancing.

Usual start time (now around 4:00pm), see you there.

A reminder to pay subs if you've not already done so, the window closes at the end of the month.

In bowling news, we have winners in the indoor game, with both Marc and Louise winning finals on Saturday. Congratulations both.

Normal service being resumed post-marathon, we have music for you this Sunday, with Take 2; unfortuately there's not a lot I can tell you about them, so come down and find out what's happening around 4pm!

Thanks to Full House for a great set the Sunday before last, a good time had by all.

Don't forget, subs are due, so if you haven't renewed yet please do so at your earliest convenience (either via the website or at the club) to enjoy another year of bowling and music & more!

A reminder that there is no music tomorrow, 12th April, owing to road closures for the Brighton Marathon. If you can get there, the bar and kitchen are operating as usual (fingers crossed) and there will also be pay & play/members bowling open as usual.

An apology also to Zoe from Chasing Zoe for the apparent communications breakdown!

A great afternoon with The Undivided last Sunday, very enjoyable, and they'll be back in a few weeks if you want to see (& hear) what people have been enjoying!

Coming up this week another band who were very well appreciated last time out - Full House. That's the band with two lead guitars, playing some great rock covers, from Led Zep to The Stereophonics and a lot else in between.

Note that because of the Brighton Marathon on Sunday week, 12th April, there will be NO LIVE MUSIC that day because of access difficulties for both band and audience. The bar and kitchen will still be open as normal if you can make it.

Music will recommence the following Sunday (19th April) with Take 2.

Finally, don't forget the new season is upon us with revised opening hours and the opening of the greens and of course that also means subs are due!

Thanks for a nice afternoon last Sunday with The Astralizers playing some great ska & reggae tunes.

This Sunday, the return of The Undivided, who've been very popular on their previous visits - if you don't know why, come along and find out, but don't forget to put your clocks forward an hour on Saturday night, we'd hate you to miss the first half!
