🐻✨ Meet the Team Behind Brighton Bear Weekend 2026

Over the past few months, our new team has been hard at work behind the scenes, shaping the next chapter of Brighton Bear Weekend.

This is a genuinely collaborative group, bringing together experience from events, community engagement, digital, sponsorship, finance and volunteering. What unites us is a shared commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive and unforgettable weekend for the bear community in Brighton & Hove.

The team includes previous Brighton Bear title holders, people who have helped organising the event in past, and new faces who have stepped up to the challenge. It’s a mix of experience, fresh energy and deep community roots — exactly what this weekend deserves.

We’re excited about what’s coming in July 2026, and we can’t wait to share more with you.

Brighton Bear Weekend is back for another summer celebration of the bear community and its allies. Three days of parties, social events and seaside fun in the heart of Brighton.

Bringing together bears, cubs, chubs, otters, admirers and friends from across the UK and beyond, Brighton Bear Weekend is all about connection, inclusivity and body positivity. Whether you’re here for the dance-floors, the daytime socials, or just to soak up the Brighton vibe, you’ll find a warm welcome.

Big bear-sized thanks to everyone who joined us for our Christmas Quiz. What a cracking night full of laughs, festive chaos, and some very creative answers. The atmosphere was spot on and it was genuinely lovely to see so many of you there.

Huge thanks to Steve and the brilliant team at the Nautilus Lounge for hosting us so warmly, and to the fabulous Ian Sinclair, our quiz master, for keeping us entertained and on our toes all evening.

And a special shout-out to Christopher J Sarson for donating not one, but two legendary humpers (or were they hampers?!). Above and beyond, sir.

Thanks to your generosity, the night raised £407 for The Sussex Beacon, who provide specialist care and support for people living with HIV across our community. We’re really proud to support their work.

Thank you again for coming, donating, and bringing the festive bear energy.

🐻🎄 Christmas is creeping up and B*W is feeling festive, flirty and a little bit competitive 🎄🐻

Join us for the Brighton Bear Weekend Christmas Quiz at the Nautilus Lounge on Thursday 18 December, kicking off at 7:30pm. Expect festive nonsense, confident wrong answers and a room full of bears, admirers and friends who definitely know more than they admit.

There will be lots of raffle prizes, starting strong with a proper showstopper. One of the famously gorgeous humpers, very generously donated by Christopher J Sarson. Yes, that humper. Hands off, raffle tickets only 👀
