Brighton and Hove Triathlon, Hove Lawns, Brighton and Hove (2026)

After a fantastic fourth year in 2019 and with 1,600 entrants, the Brighton and Hove Triathlon has become a classic Brighton event. The race will see participants take on the challenge of a sea swim, a scenic cycle along the seafront on the closed road cycle leg and flat run along the iconic beach lined promenade.

Co-ordinated by an experienced team, many of whom have worked on Olympic and Commonwealth Games events, the Brighton and Hove Triathlon is set to grow into one of the biggest events in the triathlon calendar.

Race distances include:

Olympic Distance (Individual & Relay 18+)
1500m sea swim / 40km bike / 10km run

Sprint Distance (Individual & Relay 15+)
750m sea swim / 20km bike / 5km run

SuperSprint Distance (Individual 15+)
400m sea swim / 5km bike / 2.5km run

Kids' Scootathlon (Age 3 - 8 years)
3yrs - 100m scoot / 100m bike / 100m run
4yrs - 200m scoot / 200m bike / 200m run
5-8yrs 300m scoot / 300m bike / 300m run

🚨 VOLUNTEERS URGENTLY NEEDED – BRIGHTON & HOVE TRIATHLON 🚨

We urgently need more volunteers to help us make the Brighton & Hove Triathlon on Sunday 6th September a success.

Can you help?

Quite simply, the event couldn’t happen without our incredible volunteers. From welcoming athletes at registration and helping around transition, to directing competitors on the course and handing out drinks at aid stations, our volunteer team plays a vital role in keeping everyone safe and making race day run smoothly.

Being part of the TriBourne team is great fun and incredibly rewarding. You’ll be right in the heart of the action, helping thousands of athletes achieve their goals and enjoying the atmosphere of one of the biggest triathlon events on the south coast.

All volunteers receive a hot meal, hot drinks, TriBourne T-shirt and TriBourne water bottle, plus £25 TriBourne credit for every four-hour shift you volunteer. Your credit can be used towards entry to any TriBourne event in 2027.

As we close the chapter on an unforgettable 2024 season, we’re celebrating the grand finale of the TriBourne year - the Brighton & Hove Triathlon. This year’s event was certainly one to remember, setting new records and creating many lasting memories.

The event sold out in record time, making it the biggest ever Brighton & Hove Triathlon with over 1,600 competitors. From seasoned triathletes to first-timers, athletes of all abilities took to the course, embodying the spirit of this iconic seaside event.

We’re thrilled to share the official race video, showcasing the highlights of the day - the determination, camaraderie, and the electric atmosphere of TriBourne's biggest ever event.
