Today we met someone who truly restores one's faith in the young people of Brightlingsea. When we were forced to cancel the Jog Walk Run because of the weather, James and his Mum decided to get up early and completed the course before the wind and rain came, raising an incredible £100 in sponsorship as a result! James met Rotary Club President Barbara Grimwood to hand over the money and give James a special certificate of recognition. This money will join other funds donated which will be on their way to Essex & Herts Air Ambulance shortly.

Unfortunately, with the weather forecast being so changeable and uncertain, we have taken the tough decision to cancel tomorrow's Jog, Walk, Run 😔. Thank you to everyone who has helped in the coordination and promotion of the event.

We will be in touch with everyone who has already completed online entry ASAP. However, we look forward to welcoming everyone back next year 🚶🏃
