Bridlington Kite Festival – Design a Kite Competition 2026 🪁

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s competition. We were blown away by the creativity and effort in all the entries!

We received so many fantastic East Yorkshire-inspired designs, featuring beach and sea themes, Flamborough Lighthouse, colourful kites, caravans, and even Bridlington’s very own Gansey Girl.

🎉 Congratulations to our winner, Mae from Cleckheaton!

Mae’s design stood out for its clever use of mixed media, incorporating sea urchins and shells collected from Bridlington beach - truly unique and beautifully creative!

Mae will receive a family day pass to Sewerby Hall & Gardens.

After an incredible weekend, we are already planning another spectacular event for next year.
