Morning everyone, we would like to thank everyone who ploughed at our match yesterday and everyone who came to spectate and support. We think a great day was had by everyone and we look forward to seeing you all again next year. The score sheets from yesterday are posted below.

Yesterday we had our Novice training day.
A great turnout and an enjoyable day.
Thank you to all those ploughmen who came, we hope to see you in the future on the match fields.
Also a huge thank you to our seasoned ploughmen and judges that willingly spent the whole day demonstrating, teaching, guiding and even giving away their top pearls of wisdom.

Today we've marked out the field for our training day tomorrow.
A big thank you to Matthew Ranson and Hunt Forest Group for plotting and marking the field using the latest SF7500 receiver on the Hunt Forest RTK network. A job that certainly saves us a lot of time and increases accuracy for tomorrow and the match itself.

Calling Novice ploughmen/women young and old!

Sunday 31st August, Cannington.

This year we are holding a novice ploughing training day where you will be able to use your own tractor and plough.

We will have a friendly, crack team of experienced Ploughmen and Judges on hand to help where needed.

As a committee we really do like to encourage new and local ploughmen, therefore we will be prioritising Novice ploughmen that have never competed in a match before. However, there will also be a secondary list for Novice ploughmen that HAVE competed before, but who would still like some tuition. We are restricted on numbers so it is first come first served.

Ploughs must be functional, adjustment levers, bolts, screw threads etc must be free and unsiezed. No doubt there will be adjustments needed in the field, spending a few hours before you come with a can of oil and a wire brush will really help you get the best from your plough.

As we currently have no moisture in the soil, the ground is rock hard, so if you have new points/shares lurking in the back of your shed we strongly advise fitting them to help with pe*******on. Hopefully we have that wet stuff fall from the sky before hand!

Please note, this is a free event aimed at our local Novice ploughmen that really want to learn the art of match ploughing.
