A Closer look at our recent chargers installed for Midlands Industrial Association Ltd

These chargers are now available for:
✔️ Staff vehicles
✔️ Businesses operating nearby
✔️ Visitors to the site

Workplace charging is no longer a “nice to have”, it’s becoming essential infrastructure.

By designing with shared access in mind, this setup supports both internal use and the wider commercial environment.

Thinking about how EV charging could serve your team and neighbouring units? Let’s talk.

EV Charging Grant Changes from April 2026

❌ Closing 31 March 2026:
- Staff & Fleets Infrastructure Grant
- Commercial Landlord Grant
- Residential Landlord Infrastructure Grant

Infrastructure-only funding is effectively ending.

✅ Increasing from 1 April 2026:
- Workplace Charging Scheme: £350 → £500 per socket
- Residential grants: £350 → £500 per socket

⚠️ Education:
Grant drops from £2,500 → £2,000 per socket (higher rate still available if applied before April and redeemed by Sept 2026).

Key takeaway:
Government support is moving away from “prepare now, install later” infrastructure funding and towards “install sockets now” schemes.
If you’re planning EV works, timing, and structure, now matters more than ever.

Government grants are a powerful tool to offset installation costs, but they come with a strict gatekeeper: OZEV compliance. Access to the Workplace Charging Scheme or Infrastructure Grants is binary; if your installer lacks the correct accreditation, that capital remains out of reach. Choosing a partner based solely on the lowest upfront quote often results in a higher final bill once lost subsidies are factored in.

We are fully OZEV accredited and integrate funding applications directly into our delivery process. By managing the administrative requirements alongside the physical installation, we ensure your project meets every standard necessary to trigger financial support. This guarantees you receive the high-quality infrastructure your business needs while securing every pound of funding you are eligible for.

Financial efficiency should not come at the cost of technical quality. Feel confident that your investment is optimised for both performance and budget. Message us to discuss how we can structure your project to maximise available government support.

Everything Electric: Day 1 – Utterly Electric ⚡️
Well, that was a proper spark-filled start.
Day 1 at Everything Electric London didn’t mess about. In the Home Energy Arena, we tackled the big question: how on earth do we decarbonise our homes? (Clue: it involves heat pumps, batteries, and more brainpower than a NASA launch.)
We saw live product reviews, and witnessed the holy trinity of green living: batteries, solar, and zero carbon heating.

Over in the Micro Mobility Test Track, e-scooters and e-bikes flew past like wasps with somewhere to be. And the Commercial Vehicle Zone? Vans, trucks, even tractors — all electric, all impressive.

Plus, today marked Fully Charged Professionals: businesses on a mission to electrify fleets and power up their sustainability goals.
If this is the future, I’m in.

Slightly more impressive. Everything Electric might be growing up.

Let me begin with a simple question: would you buy a sandwich from a mobile phone shop? No, of course you wouldn’t. That would be ridiculous. The same way it’s slightly ridiculous — no, scratch that — it’s insulting to your dignity to plug your high-tech, state-of-the-art electric vehicle into a charger operated by one of the big legacy energy giants.

        - you can make a lot more from EV charging than you might think... or have been told.

Well, well, well. Look who’s finally decided to put the pedal to the metal in the electric car race.

Volkswagen has more than doubled its EV deliveries in Europe during the first quarter of 2025, jumping from 74,400 to over 150,000. (Reuters)
It’s about time. For years, we’ve watched Tesla prance around like it owns the place, while the traditional carmakers seemed content to snooze in the back seat. But now, VW is showing some serious muscle—proving that the old dogs can learn new tricks (and maybe teach a few of their own).

This surge isn’t just a flash in the pan. Orders for both electric and combustion engine vehicles in Western Europe have risen by 29% compared to last year. It seems the folks at VW have been busy—not just twiddling their thumbs. (Reuters).

And let’s not forget, VW’s electric cars outsold Tesla’s in Europe this February. Yes, you heard that right. The people’s car is giving Musk’s machines a run for their money. (Electrive / Reuters)

So, hats off to Volkswagen. It’s not just about churning out more cars—it’s about leading the charge in the EV revolution. And from where I’m sitting, it looks like VW is finally back in the driver’s seat.

Our new writer has put a few articles out and isn't feeling much love, perhaps we should him properly...

Meet Jerry Sparkson. Not Jeremy Clarkson. Definitely not. But… sort of.

Imagine if a no-nonsense, petrol-scented columnist from the Sunday papers took a wrong turn at a motorway service station and ended up writing about clean energy, tech disruption, and corporate nonsense.

That’s Jerry.

He’s fictional (obviously). But his opinions? All too real.

He’s here to rant about progress, argue with spreadsheets, and tell the truth about the EV revolution, the AI bubble, and why most corporate strategy decks should come with a health warning.

You’ll like him. Or you won’t. Either way, you’ll read to the end.

Jerry Sparkson is our way of saying what we really think—about the future, about work, and about the madness of modern business. Expect occasional brilliance, frequent provocation, and the odd piece of advice smuggled in under a rant about parking charges.

Follow along if you’re curious. Or brave.
