We are so excited to be in Canada 🇨🇦 for the first time, Stanley, Cape Breton Island via train, 2 x taxis, 2 flights and we are HERE for the already bumped into 🙂 and Whytock looking forward to seeing Celtic cousins showcase and all the incredible new folk music 🎶 the region has on offer.

Kinfolk is our Thursday early entry ticket which this year is limited to just 350 tickets. Every year, the Kinfolk evening gets better and better and this year includes an opening Druidic fire ceremony 🔥. It also gives you time to explore the local area, which is stunningly beautiful with its dunes, beach and 2 castles.

It’s First Festival Week (15–21 May) and we thought we’d kick things off with one of the defining moments in BTT history. Back in 2022, we got our first taste of Scottish folktronica from the incredible Niteworks — and what a moment it was! The stage pulsated with waves of light and sound, the energy was electric, and suddenly the whole festival was on its feet dancing together. One of those real watershed moments that stays with you forever. Who remembers it?

🌳 The Eco-Hub at Between The Trees is a vibrant space filled with free nature & science, creative activities running throughout the weekend, part funded by the Royal Society of Biology. This years theme is "The Elements" and the Eco Hub is focussing on Earth, Water and Air.

🔬Discover the Microscopic World - Join our popular annual activity, Micrographia, and explore insects, plants, fungi, soil-life and pond-life through microscopes and hands-on discovery.

🐝 Explore Local Wildlife - Learn about the rare and diverse flora and fauna that call Merthyr Mawr National Nature Reserve their home.

🎨 Creative Workshops - join art-based sessions to express your creative side whilst you explore the natural world.
