It was such a privilege to see the joy on people’s faces when they met Pippin, Gimli and Frodo from Cotswold Manor Alpacas at Bretforton Open gardens. We even persuaded Celia, co chairman of open gardens and Rob, ex head of Parish Council to meet them.

During the Bretforton Open gardens this Sunday Cotswold Manor Alpacas are offering bargain meet/greets in our orchard at Bretforton Manor. Cost is just £2. For this you get to meet them and feed them. You will have had to buy tickets for entry to the Open gardens. Adults £7 and Under 16s are free. Ticket money goes to two charities - Evesham Street Pastors and Chipping Campden nursing home.

A major project has been restoring our Tudor barn. Konstantyn, did an amazing job improving our barn floor. Our floor had loose tiles, no grout and was very uneven. It is now beautiful, much easier to clean and a lot safer to walk on. We have also been doing a lot of painting and making a kitchen area.

We have several events coming up. Private parties, wedding, public events (open gardens 31st May, Vintage Craft Fair 15th Aug). If you are interested in hosting an event contact us via our website.

I am so pleased with Charlie from craftmanship. He has made this beautiful iron crown of thorns for me. He undestood my vision for our medieval stocks. The stocks were a place of humiliation and punishment. So it reminds me of Jesus’s role on the cross where he underwent humiliation and punishment for us. Charlie is going to make vine chains to fix the crown. Jesus said ‘I am the true vine and my father is the gardener’.

Charlie is incredibly talented and is also making me an iron handle for my front door. I highly recommend him.
