Brecon Folk & More Club Brecon Folk & More? Okay, but why the “& more”? So from dulcimers to djembes and spoken word to step dancing we welcome you all. Doors open at 19.30.

Because folk is a broad term, people are complicated and we want to bring Brecon the best in music and culture every month….& more! That means acts booked in other local venues under the Folk & More banner, small festival events as well as tying in with other cultural groups such as the amazingly well attended Mari Llwyd event, jointly hosted with Plan Brecon at the start of 2017. Hello, Dai of Daishire here, you may remember me from such movies as ‘Lockdown Folk Night etc..
Anyhoo, Happy New Year to you all.
Been having a sort out and found my late dad’s doodah (sorry to use technical terminology) that he used to use for playing the mouth organ whilst simultaneously making a tuneful noise with his ukulele.
I’ve seen them used for kazoos, mouthies and in one folk club in the seventies a guy using one to smoke a pipe.
If any of you guys can use it it’s yours, just message me. Free of charge but I leave it to you if you want to make a small donation to the Brecon F and M club or even the muse.
