Hello everyone,
It is with a heavy heart that I am posting today to let you all know that as of today the uniform stop is no more.
Unfortunately, it has become more and more difficult to run these events, it has been amazing to be able to use nursery but has become more difficult to clear the whole nursery away, set up the events and then put the nursery back together, whilst trying to store so much uniform at either side of the event without disturbing the children’s space and nursery day.
I have had some amazing volunteers over the years and I am incredibly grateful for their support but it has also become increasingly difficult to plan around people’s busy schedules etc.
I myself have just been extremely busy and have had a couple of health issues I won’t bore you with as well as family life, a demanding career, studying and running a home- it takes weeks to plan and carry out events and this has become bigger than I could carry on giving my time to.
On the plus side, the last event we ran didn’t have many people attend- this is genuinely great because I know that it is partially due to other places running similar uniform swaps and drop ins etc. and schools doing much more to support families as well as government tightening uniform requirements.
I have absolutely loved running this uniform stop, (if I had a dedicated space and just a smidge more time I definitely would not be stopping) and serving my community and I definitely hope I have helped some people along the way! I am gutted to be stopping.
Thank you so much to each and every family, school and business who have donated over the years and to each and every volunteer who has given their time, you are all amazing! 👏🏻

And to those in the background, the fantastic help of a gentlemen and his team storing the uniform and collecting dropping it all off for me each event (it genuinely wouldn’t have been possible without you) for companies who donated washing detergents and bin liners and bags and everything in between… THANK YOU ALL!!
All leftover uniform has been donated or will be taken for donation & recycling, nothing will go to waste.
I know there are other places now doing a similar thing to the uniform stop and so over the coming days I will try get a list together so people know where to go if they need support!
I’m so sad to be stopping but it’s the right thing to do. Bye guys, it’s been a blast! 🥲✌🏻❤️
