Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, The Windermere Boat Show will not go ahead in 2022

Sadly even the best laid plans come across complications.
It will however be returning in 2023, bigger and better than ever. To mark this, it will be taking a new name - The Windermere Boat and Adventure Festival.
We are diversifying, offering a range of activities, music, food and bringing a host of businesses together.

We are also looking to hold a smaller show this year so keep an eye on social media for updates

Update:
With not really being an update

We are still unsure how to proceed with the boat in 2022
we still need confirmation from the landowners that we can hold the event in May

The plan has always been hold the event in the middle of May

It’s Show weekend...
It was a tough decision but the correct one.

Ironic that some restrictions will be lifted on the Monday I know.
But it does cement the difficult decisions made months ago. We simply would’ve have been allowed to hold the event despite all our precautions.

The Boat and Adventure Show is about bringing people together. For the love of the outdoors and adventure.
Bringing our community together with music, food and fun on the shores of our iconic Windermere.

May 2022 will be one to remember for positive reasons and will make up for the now 2 fallow years

Virtual Boat Show is a thing!!

Here’s Shepherds dipping their toes in to the virtual waters!!

Here we are, folks! Day two of the [virtual] . We've moved on from our stunning Italians to a couple of sporty Americans!

First up on today's jetty is a boat which is blowing all of its competition out of the water (you see what we did there?!).

Hope you lot are doing ok and my photos from England’s greatest Lake brings a little joy. This will be nowt but a memory soon and we’ll be enjoying the Lake and beyond before you know it. For now... be safe. Take care of each other. Lake District

Whilst it feels bleak now.
We will come out of this and we will be stronger.

The absence of activity on the Lake is powerful and almost tangible.

This picture was taken a few kilometres away from where I live during my government mandated exercise. I am know I am fortunate enough to have this view. For the rest of you though... It will be here for when you return.

It is with great sadness but no great surprise to you to let you know the Windermere Boat & Adventure Show 2020 will be postponed this year.

Given our current global situation, we do not think it is safe to continue and we want to ensure our show is a benefit to both our exhibitors and our visitors when it does happen.

We’d hoped to add a little joy and fun to your lives once we all get through this. But that can’t be in May this year.

We hope you will be able to get involved in 2021 if not sooner, and we will be in touch in calmer times to talk about this. In the meantime we send our very best wishes to you, your family and your colleagues over this strange and unsettling time, and we look forward to speaking and working with you very soon.

Short update:
Corona virus -
Whilst we don’t really know the true nature of what’s to come we can only carry on until further announcements and restrictions have been made. The Boatshow Team are keeping a close eye on the situation and we will endeavour to notify anyone if/when any major decisions are made.
For now, the show must go on!
