The Rotary Dorset Bike Ride in aid of Cancer Research UK

I learned a strange fact the other day when researching about events happening on 16th April - apparently it is called 'Bicycle Day' in the country where a scientist looking into the psychological effects of L*D, had a wobbly cycle rid home afterwards from the effects of his 'research'.
So, whilst not under the influence of any psychological episodes, I would like to offer 6th September 2026 as BICYCLE DAY for it is when the Rotary Dorset Bike Ride will be taking place this year.

CANCELLATION OF BIKE RIDE 2025
With the increasingly worsening weather conditions, especially the wind factors, we regret to inform you that this years Rotary Dorset Bike Ride 2025 is being cancelled. The safety of riders and all others involved is our utmost priority, and this has to remain our priority.

With the arrival of September, just want to remind everyone that the online registration facility will not be available after Friday 5th September, so if you want to register to ride after this time, you can still register on site on the day – but it will cost you £5 per rider more that online registrations.

Registration and check in will open at 8.00am on the day and volunteers will be on hand to welcome you to this year’s Rotary Dorset Bike Ride. Your supporters will be able to enjoy live music during the day and there is a static bike challenge for them to make a donation to Cancer Research to cycle as far as they can in short period of time.

Jurassic Bike Hire are offering bikes for hire and will have some emergency bike items to purchase for last minute requirements. Hiring of a bike will need to be done in advance of the event so ready for you on the day so there contact details are:
