We have been nominated for a BBC Make a Difference Award. 🌍 We are so proud and so grateful. These awards celebrate people and organisations quietly doing things for their communities. To be nominated feels like a real recognition of everything we have built together here in Dorset.
Because that is what these photos show. Real people. Real communities. African traditions a few steps from Thai, Polish next to Filipino, Ukrainian alongside Chinese. All of it happening on your doorstep.
This nomination belongs to every community that has trusted us with their culture, every performer who has taken the stage, and every family who has walked through our gates and felt at home.

We are heading to Beautiful World Festival! Come and find Kushti Bok at Kings Park in Bournemouth on Sunday, 21 June 2026, where we will be proudly representing traditional Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller heritage as part of this incredible celebration of world cultures. At our stand you will find a traditional peg maker at work - crafting the iconic hand-cut pegs that our families have made and sold for centuries, using skills passed down through generations. You will also be able to see basket making up close, watching as natural willow is woven by hand into beautiful, practical pieces the old way - no shortcuts, no machines, just craft in its purest form.

These aren't museum pieces. This is living heritage, made right in front of you. Come and ask questions and watch the skills in action. Our crafts carry generations of skill, story, and pride, and we love nothing more than sharing them with curious hands and open hearts.

The Beautiful World Festival is a real world tour in a weekend - street food, dance, music, and traditions from across the globe, all in one place. And children under 15 get in FREE with every adult ticket, so bring the whole family!

The Thai village is taking shape! 🇹🇭 Natty Mattika Westgate, who is leading the creation of our Thailand zone at Beautiful World Festival, came to share her vision and plans with us today, and what she is preparing looks incredible. Mattika has a real passion for preserving and sharing Thai culture, and together with her team she is working to create an authentic experience that feels far more than just a display. Visitors will be able to step into the atmosphere, beauty, traditions, and warmth of Thailand itself.

Traditional dance, music, monks, Tak Bat, elegant costumes representing all four regions of Thailand, cultural details, decoration, and immersive experiences are all being carefully planned - with every element created with genuine care and pride.

This is not simply something to look at. It is something to experience 🇹🇭 . Do you know a Thai business that you would like to see at Beautiful World? 🙂
