THIS TIME NEXT WEEK, Francesco Sarti will be delivering a workshop on backstories!

Here's a wonderful testimonial from an attendee at Francesco Sarti's workshop at this year's Bournemouth Writing Festival.

Which is why were are delighted that Francesco will be running a workshop on the power of backstories at next weekend's Bournemouth Writing Sanctuary - our take on the traditional .

There are only two spaces left for his workshop on Sunday 14th June. Maz Evans' workshop on plotting is now full.

The Sanctuary is a place for writers to focus on their writing without the distractions of home. With a dedicated space to write, snacks, lunch and drinks included - you can get your head down and get your word count up. All surrounded by other writers.

You can even book in a 1-2-1 writing surgery with Francesco too!

You can still come to the sanctuary without the workshop for half the price, and still benefit from the sea views, sun terrace and private gardens of the Cottonwood Hotel - all intended to inspire you to write.

The Bournemouth Writing Sanctuary is next weekend (13/14 June) and the weather forecast couldn't be better.

Perfect to write on our sun terrace with sea views - so come along and get your word count up without the distractions from home.

We've broken down the traditional writers' retreat to be more affordable, where you can choose what you'd like to do.

You can come for the day or for the weekend, and choose to attend workshops or just have a space to write surrounded by other writers.

On Saturday 13th June, Maz Evans will be delivering a workshop on plotting.

On Sunday 14th June, Francesco Sarti will be delivering a workshop on backstories.

Emma Scattergood will be there all weekend!

Congratulations to Heather B who was first out of the hat to win a £10 Amazon gift voucher for filling out our feedback survey. She has said she will be buying a book by Craig Andrew Mooney.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to fill it in (and say lovely things about the festival and the speakers). We are going through all the responses to improve for next year.
