I am happy to announce that Mrs Seymour Wilson will be attending the Legends match on Wednesday and will hopefully be here for the kick off at 13:00 hrs. The Seymour Wilson Memorial Trophy will now be presented to the winning team of the Legends game. A fitting tribute to a legend in himself. Thanks to all for the information sent.

Does anyone remember Seymour Wilson and the story behind his memorial cup?

Apologies for the lack of information reference the Bowen Cup. A full detailed plan will be released early next week. Just a reminder that all players or people wishing to watch the game are to go through the respective reps for each school. Stuart Scott for SEME and Paulie Peters for SEAE.
Thanks to all for being patient especially those who are travelling from afar.

Ideas time. When both schools merge towards
the end of the year SEME loses the Chiefs and SEAE lose their identity. What do we call the new teams and what logo do we use?

As the current head coach of SEME Rugby, known as the Chiefs; it is my duty to organise the last Bowen Cup and Presidents match on SEME soil prior to the schools closure in 2015. To that end the Chiefs management team are trying to organise a Rugby festival to incorporate these 2 iconic games with a follow up end of season dinner. It will be the last chance for current and past players to play and spectate on this hallow turf where most of our Rugby careers began. Any help to organise this event will be greatly beneficial for all and hugely accepted.
For those who don't know me I'm Steve Johnson, current Chiefs coach and ex SEME tight head/loose head or ho**er during the 1998 season where I learnt my trade. My right hand man and team manager is Andy Fyles and between us we intend to close Rugby at SEME in the best possible way we know how. More will follow. Please share this page far and wide. The ball is rolling so let's see how far we can get it.
