thankfully, Father Christmas and his reindeers were out and about , eventually on Friday evening and had a great couple of hours around the Watson Road Park area. This is really a tremendous event, seeing the children's faces coming to grips that Santa Claus is actually in their street, outside of their house, coming to see them to ensure they have been good, being able to sit with and talk to him, absolutle fantastic. As an aside this is a completely free event, if people are able to donate, that's fantastic, anything raised allows Father Christmas to feed his animals, however on the other side, he wouldn't want children miserable at their windows because their Mum and Dad couldn't afford whatever small charge being levied, that is why there is no charge! Anyway thanks to all in that area on Friday.
Yesterday, Father Christmas and his entourage were at the Morrisons Superstore at Squires Gate and the old fashioned saying of 'there's nowt so q***r as folk' is so true and it really does make you wonder why some people have children because the number of times the Mum or Dad dragged their child or children from one side of the store entrance to the other, merely to avoid coming past Santa Claus, unbelievable! Anyway all others had a lovely time and so many said to us that this really had made their children's and even their own day, this is what this event is all about.
Regarding tomorrow, we shall again be out and about after probably four pm, subject to the Reindeers being back to normal but all are good at this time, please check this site for the area being covered. However, please understand, if you have children or you yourself, no matter how old you are and you want to sit, talk and have a photograph with the Big Man, there is no pressure to donate or not, we just want everybody to come out, have a laugh, even a dance in the street and just get in the Christmas Spirit and enjoy yourselves, especially our children, but everybody welcome.
Looking forward to see you all during the next few days before Christmas day itself.
Many thanks to Morrisons giving us the opportunity to being just outside their store entrance and also to the Rotary Club of Blackpool Sunrise for their financial support.
