St Thomas' Church Hall The Church Hall has a large and a small hall available to hire for sessions, meetings and events. The St. Thomas' Church Hall is linked to St.

Thomas' Church, we take bookings for any group at a low charge. You can enquire on the website. There is a big hall (badminton court size) with a sizable stage. Then a still quite large but smaller room is next door with a large kitchen to the side of that. There is also a grass lawn with borders that has a nice view on to the back hills of Stanhope.

Was your New Year resolution to read more books? How's that going?

Did you know we have a very friendly Book Group who meet in St Thomas' Church Hall on the last Wednesday of the month, 7pm-8pm. We met last night and had a lively discussion about 'A Town like Alice'.

In February we will be reading 'The Trouble with Goats and Sheep by Joanna Cannon. Get yourself a copy (available from libraries or secondhand booksites) and come along and see what we're about!
