🎹Birmingham International Piano Competition 2026 is now FULLY INTERNATIONAL!
Pianists no longer have to be residents in the UK to apply.
The competition is open to pianists of all nationalities aged 18-32.

📆Application deadline is April 10, 2026 for the video round.

We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Birmingham International Piano Competition 2026.

🗓 Application deadline: April 10, 2026
🎼 Competition dates: June 14-18, 2026.

This year, the Birmingham International Piano Competition will be incorporated within the Birmingham International Piano Festival, offering an expanded platform for participants.

What's new for 2026:

✔The 20 pianists selected from the First Round will each receive a £300 honorarium for their recital performances in the Final Round.
✔Finals will be presented as public recitals, with 4 recitals per day over 5 days, offering audiences a true festival-style experience.
✔Participants will have the unique opportunity to be featured alongside major international pianists appearing as part of the festival.
