The Guitar Show | The Bass Show 2027 Press Release.

Following a sold-out 2026 event in March, the organisers of The Guitar Show and The Bass Show have some exciting developments planned for 2027.

Most significantly, the show – which takes place between 26 to 28th February – will now feature a preview day on the Friday afternoon for trade, content creators and other visitors keen to experience the show before the weekend crowds attend. Preview day tickets will be limited to 500, allowing attendees the chance for in-depth interaction with exhibitors and for a quieter environment for video content creation etc.

Opening hours for the preview day will be from 1pm – 6pm, with the show open on Saturday and Sunday as usual between 10am and 5pm.

Show organiser Jason Hunt said of the plans, “I’ve been delighted at the growth of the show over the last couple of years – to be sold out this year was really incredible – and we’re now really at capacity over the weekend as a result.

“I’m very keen to stay at Cranmore Park as the venue is so popular with exhibitors and visitors alike. It allows us to have completely separate halls for electric, acoustic, and bass sections, which gives each a real sense of their own identity. Moving to a larger venue would bring both a huge increase in costs for all concerned and risk losing the intimate, community vibe we’ve all worked so hard to create for the show.

“Adding Friday afternoon proved extremely popular with exhibitors when surveyed, with close to 95% in favour. So, I’m looking forward to working with them on some exciting plans for the preview day and starting the show’s next chapter.”

Tickets for The Guitar Show and The Bass Show 2027 will be priced at:

Friday Preview Event £35 (in advance only, limited to 500)
Saturday and Sunday: £18 in advance, £20 OTD if tickets remain available

Before The Guitar Show | The Bass Show asked if I would be part of an industry group beta testing the new BEAM Mini. I honestly didn’t know what to think. It is way better than I expected. Go and try one out. They let me keep it after, I use it all the time. I don’t usually post stuff I personally use (that’s a partscaster) it’s just not the thing to do when you have 150 exhibiting companies and you want to treat them all equally. So, no sell, just a recommendation to try one.

I'm genuinely saddened to hear of the passing of Lyndon Laney.

He was a lovely man; he always greeted me warmly whenever I went over for meetings/chippy lunch with the guys from Headstock.

My first proper amp was a 50w Laney head and a 4x12. It was stupidly loud, and it sounded awesome.

Condolences to James and the rest of the Laney family.
