Over the years, we have had the privilege of working alongside Kanya and witnessing firsthand the impact of her incredible work. Her commitment to celebrating Black music and culture is something that was truly inspiring

Kanya’s legacy extends far beyond awards ceremonies and accolades. Her vision reshaped the industry and left a mark on Black music that will be felt for generations to come

2025 Shambala Festival Poetry Slam Champion and Nottingham Black Creatives Network founder , who blends neo-soul, jazz, and poetry into powerful storytelling, will be this year’s Vocal Performance Mentor for Community Routes this August.

Davina is a celebrated East Midlands singer-songwriter, published author, and spoken-word artist. Deeply invested in nurturing the next generation, she mentors for Sing City at Nottingham Music Service and leads wellbeing-focused workshops designed to build confidence, resilience, and song writing skills in young creatives. Her holistic approach to music and performance focuses on empowering artists to find their authentic voice both on and off the stage.
