Be inspired, be challenged, and get excited by contemporary new music in our eight days festival, CrossCurrents. This biennial festival features the best of new music and welcomes artists, composers and students to present performances and events to stimulate and invigorate. Whether you are a diehard new music fan or simply looking for a new experience, we have 14 eclectic sessions that include 11

new commissions mixed in with some 20th century masterpieces, and the next generation of young composers, to create a heady combination of vocal, instrumental and electroacoustic music delivered with contagious enthusiasm, waiting for you to explore. CrossCurrents is produced by the Music Department at the University of Birmingham with support from the Feeny Trust, College of Arts and Law and the Henry Barber Trust.
