Our Story

CineQ started as a q***r community cinema for one reason... Because it needed to exist. Independent and Multiplex cinemas alike, were not regularly screening LGBTQ films in the Midlands and we wanted a way to connect audiences with films shown on the big screen. CineQ puts the focus on new stories, and QTIPOC perspectives, while introducing ‘New Q***r Cinema’ a type of q***r cinema often overlooked. In 2019 CineQ will create a 2 day festival to showcase some of the best underrepresented LGBTQ film both past and present
