The House scene back then was almost non existent in the Birkenhead area. A group of budding DJs & Producers from around the area gathered and decided to take a risk and throw a big party for friends and their love of electronic music. A renowned bar/club situated on a roundabout in the centre of Birkenhead docklands and industrial area. The main reason for this venue was that it boasted an outdoo
r terrace, the perfect setting for Av.Verdé. With a little help from a Funktion One rig and stage/lighting design, the venue turned into an ideal setting for an all day and night party for everyone who was into what we were doing. Now, our parties run through the summer months opening our doors early in the day for a free BBQ, then taking the party well into the early hours showcasing talent from Liverpool and the surrounding areas. The music is strictly 'underground' which to us, mainly consists of bass ridden grooves with a touch of techno and the odd deep twist. Due to high demand we also host NYE parties, years previously in a basement and more recently a party in a disused attic, which was co-ran with well established Manchester and Liverpool night, LOLiFE. So far the team would like to thank everyone who has attended Av.Verdé and those who constantly bring their smile and brilliant attitude to the dance floor.
