There is a tuck shop and our Firework Extravaganza is FREE to attend and all are welcome.

Everyone must stay on the top yard for the fireworks: don’t forget to wrap up too - it’s cold!!!!!

Tonight we are at Portland school doing a small firework display for the kids.

We haven’t been able to secure funding from anywhere for their fireworks as it seems benches and colourful roads are more important than putting smiles on kids faces.

If any small businesses or people would like to donate to Portlands firework display tonight please get in touch as we want this to go ahead for the kids♥️

🔥 We’re hoping to have an update for you soon about Bonfire night, there’s lots of work going on behind the scenes!

❤️ In the meantime, we know bonfire night can be difficult for some people for many reasons, and we don’t want anyone in the community to feel worried or alone.

🤝Should you know someone who may benefit, please pass this on to them.

🏠 We’ll also be leafleting the community from tomorrow with these, so if you can pick some up from the centre and post them down your street that would be great!

We thank councillors Julie McManus and Liz Grey for showing their support today in meeting up in efforts to get our night pushed through.

Their genuine concern to improve the area as a whole is something we see clear after being face to face.

Don’t tarnish everyone with the same brush is a lesson to be learnt from us all.

Fingers crossed we can get “the best night of the year” over the line for the people of the Northend and surrounding area♥️
