So Eons ago my Mum and Dad took me to Florida and as my Dad was an utter legend he wanted a Beer and a sing song, and Karaoke bars just started to emerge across the globe. He managed to convince the landlord of the bar to let me in and he got his wish. He did a couple of songs and then I got up and did one. The guy doing the karaoke looked just like Eddie Murphy and was such a dude. He then called me up as it was my turn .. I was 12 and he looked at me and said "S**t man you know this song is fast right" and was like "Yeah" Anyway that was the first time I ever sung Footloose. And the bar went mental it was epic. That guy then turned round to me and said "Man you sing like a brother" and I guess that stuck in my head. Anyway fast forward to about 2016 and I was talking to a club owner. I was with Bubounce then and he was interested in booking them. I also said "Ah yeah I also do a soul act.." and before I finished my sentence he said "Nah ya don't mate, sorry but no white man can sing soul" so I thought "F**K YOU" walked away and that club never got the booking. (K**b) Anyway fast forward to now, I get booked up as a soul and Ska act and my diary is mental some weeks. And yeah I may not be a brother in skin but I'm definitely one in soul and voice. So to that bloke who doubted me .. F**k ya fine self. To the Eddie Murphy look a like karaoke DJ in Florida - thanks for the encouragement you gave a 12 year old boy who shouldn't of been in that bar at 11pm on a school night .And here's a bit of Red light spells danger from last night's gig.
