A few months ago, we were chuffed to bits to win the regional final for Best Butcher (Single Shop), but now it's the big one !!! This Sunday, we go up against all the regional winners as a Grand Finalist, and we need your help !!!!! Please, please take a few minutes a vote for us , however as we are all going to the final in Glasgow if we win don't expect the freshest team on Monday . Please vote at www.nominees.info/vote

The Tinto Junior Hill Race will start at 12.05pm, shortly after the main race.

Registration: from 11.20pm in the hill car park, ahead of walking to the start at 11.45pm
Distance: 2km
Height gain: 80m
Going: wet and muddy

Tinto Hill Race is an A category short hill race up and down Tinto Hill which lies just south of Lanark. The race route is 4.4 miles long and includes 1500 feet of ascent.

Five days until race day!

This year's race has been full for a while, and I will keep sending invites out to people on the waiting list whenever any spaces become available so please let me know if you can no longer run.

Weather was looking bad, now it's looking good, so expect a thunderstorm!

Please make an effort to lift-share wherever possible, this will make it easier on the day to organise parking while also saving petrol money/the environment.

There will once again be a junior event on the day of Tinto Hill Race. Open to under-16s, runners should register in the Tinto Hill car park at 1.30pm. Parents racing in the main race are particularly encouraged to bring their children, who will be asked to stay in the finish area while they wait for their adult.

Lucy Colquhoun and Mick James are collecting shoes to send to sports teams in Malawi. There will be a collection box at race registration, so please bring along any suitable shoes that you would like to donate! See poster details for more info. See you there.
