Had a good player in the studio yesterday looking to raise his game. After watching him hit and the feedback he gave me about his game, it seemed pretty obviously his clubs lofts were very weak. The majority were 2 degrees weak from traditional lofts but the 8 iron and 9 iron were really close in lofts also. We have yet to retest them, after I have bent then with my loft and lie machine, but stay tuned. The strike issue came when he knew he had to ‘step’ on it and with an already slightly open face he was pulled the handle through leading the face leading with the heel. Sometimes, the simplest answer is always the best.

Amazingly I am not even trying to move my feet like this. A/P forces through the roof. One day I will get to use a force plate to see how I stack up.

Been putting in a few reps recently on the left handed swing in the swing studio. The ball flight is definitely more consistent…despite the movement pattern. Nothing beats hitting balls.

Incredible amount of forces via the ground and how it helps the golf swing actually be a functional golf swing. This is only a pitching wedge swing at minimal effort and while yes I may be getting older, without the rotational (due to the forces pushing back from the ground) the forward swing is a real effort and quite awkward. You can see here how ‘square my hips are’. I am amazed how forward (towards the ball) the left foot pushes in transition and you can really see it here.
