K-POP DEMON HUNTERS - BEST ANIMATED FEATURE AT OSCARS 2026 💜👹⚔️

What a moment for animation. Already a global hit with audiences, K-Pop Demon Hunters has now been elevated even further with its Oscar win, earning major critical acclaim to match its phenomenal reception.

The award is especially meaningful for Belfast, with local talent James Carson serving as CG Supervisor at Sony Pictures Imageworks. We were delighted to welcome James, alongside fellow Sony CG Supervisor Katherine Jones, to RENDR last month, giving our community a chance to go behind the scenes of this stunning animation.

RENDR continues to drive Belfast’s creative scene forward, linking local talent with the global artists who are shaping the future of storytelling.

RENDR 2026 wasn’t just an event, it was the creative movement taking shape.

What incredible energy and generosity we experienced as thousands of you joined us at Banana Block, transforming it into a vibrant playground of creativity. Across Film, Gaming, Animation and Immersive, audiences flowed between bold inspiring talks, while interactive games and art installations kept the space alive, buzzing with curiosity, conversation and much needed connection.

Lasting collaborative relationships were formed, new creative paths ignited and inspired creative projects began to emerge.
