Hi Everyone!

A Special Twinwood Thank You...

With the post-festival breakdown nearing completion, we're only now getting a chance to catch our breath...This is of course just after another extraordinary long weekend where our unique venue sprang to life with joyous dancing, music and magnificent vintage finery...

We want to thank most of all our wonderful festival-goers for Twinwood 2026. Some of you have been coming to Twinwood for years and know the place almost as well as we do. Others joined us for the first time this year (and we hope the first of many). Thank you for coming along, dressing up, dancing, singing, shopping, chatting, laughing and generally embracing our quirky and unique festival so enthusiastically.

A dazzling number of brilliant musicians and performers came together to create what was I think one of our most spectacular line-ups, featuring some of the most exciting bands we've ever had grace our stages. We'd like to thank all of the artists and our backstage production crew for making it all come together. Many of the highlights came from world-famous bands coming to Twinwood for the first time this year, including the incomparable David Hermlin Trio, and the legendary Showaddywaddy; bands that I think everyone will be keen to see back again soon.

For now though, from all of us at Twinwood, thank you for making the journey, for entering into the spirit of the weekend, and for helping make the place feel quite unlike anywhere else for a few special days each year.

We're heading straight into the 2027 campaign now with the aim of creating another remarkable line-up of bands, and you can get ahead by snapping up some of the more in-demand camping options already, as our 2027 ticket shop is now open!

We caught up with 'Sophie Von Der Goltz' to ask her a few questions about her vintage style after winning 'Miss Vintage UK 2026'

What first drew you into the vintage scene, and how did your love of vintage fashion begin?

My love for vintage started when I was a child - I was completely captivated by the glamour of 1940s and 50s classic films, especially romantic comedies, and musicals. That fascination became reality when I discovered my grandma’s wardrobe from the 50s and early 60s. The day those original pieces finally fitted me, I began wearing them for special occasions, falling in love with the craftsmanship and history behind each garment. Moving to London after university was the true turning point, seeing a vibrant community wearing vintage as daily wear gave me the confidence to do the same and I’ve never looked back. Beyond the clothes, the best part of this journey has been the incredible, lifelong friends I’ve made within the scene.

Who or what inspires your vintage style the most , eras, icons, films, music, or people in your life?

Classic films are my forever style inspiration, but I also look to 1930s knitting magazines and fellow vintage lovers on social media. I admire the detailed craftsmanship of pre-war knitwear just as much as seeing how people style original pieces every day.

Have you attended Twinwood in previous years, and if so, what keeps bringing you back?

We’ve been visiting Twinwood on and off since 2015. Between the incredible live music, unbeatable vintage traders and catching up with friends who hold stalls there, it’s always a highlight. No two visits are ever the same and bringing our little one along for her very first Twinwood this year made it extra special, especially having her in the audience watching me win Miss Vintage UK!

What was going through your mind when you realised you’d won, were you excited, surprised, or a bit overwhelmed?

It was a complete blur of emotions. I was mostly surprised and happy, but definitely a bit overwhelmed. Every woman on that stage was so stylish and lovely, so I couldn't quite believe it when my name was called. It was just a huge honour.

How would you describe your approach to vintage dressing do you follow a particular era or mix influences?

I stick mostly to the fashion of the 1920s, 30s, and 40s, with early 30s style being my primary focus (as you can see from my competition outfit). I wear original vintage to work every day - I am fortunate to be in a job where that's both practical and appreciated. Original pieces are my main go-to, but I like to occasionally throw in modern items that suit the style.

Thank you Sophie for taking the time to chat with us.

The Mr & Miss Vintage UK competition 2026.

The Mr & Miss Vintage UK competition continues to be one of Twinwood Festival’s most beloved traditions, honouring the beauty and spirit of vintage style, and once again the entries were outstanding this year. Our regular hosts and judges Dusty, Lola and Mark were joined this year by legendary DJ and TV presenter Mike Read.

A huge congratulations to 1st place winners Sophie Von Der Goltz (Miss Vintage UK 2026), and Tom Powell (Mr Vintage UK 2026).

A huge well done also to the runners up: Ellie Frow (2nd), Amy Pierpoint (3rd), and Gary Brazowski (2nd place Mr Vintage).

We would also like to thank our sponsors: Revival Vintage and Rock n Romance.

We are in the process of updating the website with more images.
