Could you be part of Team Incredible and support local hospice care?
As you know, sadly this year's RUN Bedford had to be cancelled due to Covid-19. Sue Ryder St John's Hospice were our charity partner this year and with many fundraising events cancelled, they need the help of the community now more than ever. They've launched a Virtual Summer Series to get people out and active all whilst raising some funds for Sue Ryder St John's Hospice so they can be there when it matters.
Can you take on the Summer Series by completing a virtual 10k, Half Marathon, Marathon or cycle throughout the summer, and raise much needed funds for local families needing its expert and compassionate palliative care?
The Summer Series takes place from July to October and encourages people to complete their chosen distance over a week, month or on a specific event date, for any events that have been cancelled due to Covid 19. The series has themed months to keep you motivated, July is 10K month, August is cycling month, September is Half Marathon month and October is Marathon month. If you’re feeling ambitious you could take on the challenge of doing all four disciplines and be a Summer Series Champion!
By signing up and fundraising, you’ll be helping Sue Ryder Nurses and care teams be there for local families when it matters. You can take part by signing up online and once you’ve completed your challenge you’ll be rewarded with a virtual medal!

Hayley Webb, Senior Community Fundraiser at Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice said, “We’d love local people, groups and organisations to join Team Incredible to take on a challenge for this year’s Summer Series. You can be as creative as you like, make it a team effort to complete to take on the Marathon over a month or complete the whole series. Not only will you be getting fit but you’ll experience the feel good factor by helping our care to continue.”
