Once a category reaches around 3–5 finalists, it may close, so do not leave it too late if you would like to be considered.

🍿 Bathgate, we have a date.

On Saturday 3rd of October, the West Lothian Film Festival brings an outstanding selection of 2026 films to the big screen for a very special screening event.

Expect brilliant storytelling, unforgettable characters, plenty of talent and perhaps one or two moments that stay with you long after the credits roll.

Better still, all profits from the event will be donated to Bathgate Community Council, supporting its work for the local community.

This is the first of a busy autumn for the festival, but it starts right here in Bathgate.

The amount of talent among the 2026 West Lothian Film Festival finalists is scary. Join us for a special screening event showcasing an outstanding selection of films at The Jim Walker Partnership Centre in Bathgate.

All profits from the event will be donated to our charity partner, Breast Friends and Family, supporting people affected by breast cancer and their loved ones across the local community.

Join us for a West Lothian Film Festival special screening event in Bathgate.
