Launched in 2012, Bike Bath returns to "The Rec" in 2025 to celebrate cycling in this famous city. Under the tower of the historic Bath Abbey and sharing the Rec with the illustrious Bath Rugby Club, it is an historic venue from which to cycle into the glorious southern Cotswolds. Three great routes, 27, 54 and 77 miles, will leave the Recreation Ground and and head north towards the picturesque C

otswolds. Our charity partner for the 2025 Bike Bath event is Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity. Fully signed routes, medical and mechanical support and fantastic feed-stations have helped Bike Bath to established itself in the cycling event calendar. For non-cycling partners and families, the city makes a great weekend destination. Organised by Iconic Cycling Events, who also run Bike Chester and Bike Oxford. 50 DAYS TO GO...

Bike Bath is just 50 days away!

Taking place at the Recreation Ground, home of the illustrious Bath Rugby Club with the tower of Bath Abbey in the background, it is a historic venue from which to cycle into the glorious Mendips Hills National Landscape and the longer routes will include an ascent of the iconic Cheddar Gorge.

This year we have four routes to choose from, approximately 24, 48, 59 & 75 miles.

Join the camaraderie of riding alongside hundreds of like-minded individuals. Whether you're participating as part of a team or going solo, riding for a charity close to your heart or simply to push your own limits, you'll feel a true sense of accomplishment as you cross the finish line.

Whilst recce riding the Bike Bath routes this week, we've decided that we could plot a much better short route out to the east of Bath, so yes this is going to mean more signage to put up and take down for us, but it's going to be a better experience for our short route riders.

The new short route is on the website and you can check it out in our Bike Bath Strava Club.

It's less than a mile longer and there's very little change to the elevation gain.

We have been out recce riding the Bath routes this week and Cheddar Gorge was looking mighty fine.

Some of the road surfaces however were not looking so good, so we have made some small tweaks to the routes to use better road surfaces.

The distances and elevations haven't changed much.

You can see the new routes on the Bike Bath website or our Strava club (don't forget to join 😉)

We've also re-routed the short route for a better ride - more on that to follow.
