Bristol + Bath Marathon

We're extremely disappointed to announce that the 2017 Bristol + Bath Marathon will not be returning to the race calendar this year. A provisional date for this event had been set for 22nd October 2017 but unfortunately, due to other events and road closure requirements across the cities the event will not be taking place. We know this news will be disappointing for those of you who were looking forward to the event this year. There is still an aspiration to host a fantastic event in Bristol + Bath and more details will be released as soon as a date is confirmed in the future.

After reviewing all possible options, we can now announce that after a successful launch last year, the Bristol + Bath Marathon will be not be taking place in 2016.
However, we can confirm we have agreed a provisional date for next year of Sunday 22nd October 2017
and will be confirming plans for the event in the coming months.

Due to the number of major events requiring road closures in the Bristol area this year, we have agreed with Bristol City Council that the event will not take place in 2016 but have confirmed a provisional date for the second instalment of the Bristol + Bath Marathon in October 2017 and we want to see you there. We appreciate that this announcement will be disappointing for runners hoping to take part in 2016, but we know there is huge appetite for this event and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2017.

Pre-registration is still open so watch this space and keep your ear to the ground. We are planning to open entries in the autumn and you'll be the first to know, so you can take advantage of our limited early bird discount.

We would like to thank you for your patience and your interest in this unique event and we’ll be back in touch with you soon! Until then, keep running through 2016 and we look forward to seeing you on the start line in 2017!
