Ever fancied line dancing or are you an established stomper? Whatever your level, come to our line dancing afternoon where you’ll be masterfully lead by accomplished line dancer Mandy Eades.

Timed to allow school mums and dads to get to the school gates in time, join us for this afternoon of dance, fitness, music and fun.

Saltford is a designated Fairtrade Village and as part of Saltford Festival, our local Fairtrade group are running a fun quiz.

They have put together a few teaser questions for you to ponder over and research over the next couple of weeks and then your answers can be handed in at Saltford Hall. There is a box in the porch and the deadline is 21st June 2026. There will be a small
prize for the winning entry!

You can also meet the Fairtrade group at the Open Morning on Saturday 13 Jun between 10-1pm at Saltford Hall.

As you know, Saltford is presenting its very own version of Saltford’s Got Talent (or not) and we are delighted to have a full line up of local talent booked in to perform.

Come along and join us for what promises to be a very entertaining evening. Find out what secret talents your neighbours , family and friends have been hiding. We’ve got a range of acts from age 10 to 80, so a true family show.

There will be a panel of judges giving feedback and the audience will be able to vote for their favourite act.

Who knows - we may be helping someone on their way to stardom. It all starts here!

We don’t yet know how talented Saltford (and surrounding areas) are but we can promise you a very entertaining evening. There will be our normal reasonable priced licensed bar and ice creams for sale.

Just a reminder to come along and join us for a fabulous evening of live music from very talented local band Identikit (you may recognize a few faces). They play a variety of music from 60s through to 00s with many well loved chart toppers.

The dance floor is always full when Identikit perform, but even if dancing's not your thing, you can just enjoy the music and the atmosphere with a drink from the bar.

This really is a fantastic evening - don't miss it!

Saltford Festival starts 2 weeks today with an already sold out murder mystery performance on the Friday night, but we wanted to remind you of a unique opportunity to try over 25 activities completely for free during the Festival.

The SCA in conjunction with regular hirers at Saltford Hall and other organisations like Saltford Tennis Club, are running a week of activities during the Festival to offer you a huge breadth of opportunities completely for free.

SALTFORD'S GOT TALENT

This is a final reminder that Saltford presents it’s own version of Britain’s Got Talent during festival week on Friday 19th June 2026.

Our thanks to all those who have already come forward but we have room for just a couple more people to offer their entertaining acts as part of this fun family event. This might include magicians, dancers, jugglers, singers, comedians, talented pets, ventriloquists and we’re even hoping there may be a contortionist out there.

So if you’ve a secret talent you’ve been hiding away, practicing in the privacy of your own home – we want to see it.

We’re looking for acts from a range of ages (and abilities)! Plus, there’s a £100 prize for the winner, voted for by the audience. There’ll even be a panel of judges (although sadly Simon can’t make it).

All stalls are now sold out downstairs but we have some room left upstairs, which is fully accessible by stairs and modern lift.

Saltford Festival Competitions 2026

PHOTOGRAPHY AND SHORT STORY COMPETITIONS CLOSE AT THE END OF NEXT WEEK, SO GET YOUR ENTRIES IN SOON.

This festival we are looking to get as many residents involved as possible, by having 3 competitions leading up to the Festival. Entry to all these competitions is entirely free and prizes will be awarded, including for younger entrants. Our thanks to all those who have already entered.

Photography Competition

With a topic of “The village through your eyes” we are inviting budding local photographers to submit photographs taken in Saltford. Multiple entries are allowed and can be in landscape or portrait format. Suitable landscape format pictures will also be considered for the 2027 Saltford Calendar. Please send enquiries and entries (in JPEG format) to [email protected] by Monday 18th May 2026.

Short Story Competition

These can be fact or fiction on any subject with multiple entries permitted but no more than 1500 words each. Please send your story by email to [email protected] to arrive no later than Monday 18 May 2026.

Painting Competition

There is no set topic for your painting and we are allowing up to 3 entries per person, with a maximum size of 50cm square. They can be in any medium, framed or unframed. Submissions are to be brought to Saltford Hall between 2-4pm on Friday 12 June 2026.
