Grey Goose Wing Archers

Grey Goose Wing Archers This is the PUBLIC page of the Grey Goose Wing Medieval Archers. Small extended-family group of historic archery enthusiasts.

The group has been in existence since 1985
We attend public and private events around the UK with our public participation Have A Go Archery range, Longbow displays & Living History. Most members of The GGW are or have been in historic reenactment for many years. The period of history we cover is mainly Medieval 1414 - 1472, although we can cover almost any period that used bows & arrows. The grou

p was founded in 1985 by Mr Phil 'I'll be Brief' Wyborn, who sadly passed away in 2011. Of the other original members, one, 'The Sarge' still ventures out to most of the events we attend throughout the year. (see our Events list for details of the places we'll be setting up our archery range at this year). Please leave us a message or email us if you would like further details, or want to know if we could be right for your event, thanks.

A few photos in no particular order, from a blisteringly hot Wildlife Aid Foundation Open Weekend.
Saturday's temperature topped out at 44.6°c on our Have A Go Archery range, on the field.
So it wasn't surprising that many people preferred to stay a little bit cooler in the shade or stay at home & watch the tennis.
