Some people run races Rachel White runs countries. Welcome to the family Rach đź–¤

Marine Engineer. Endurance athlete. And someone who genuinely believes the hardest part isn’t the miles - it’s deciding to start.

675km through Jordan. 13 days. A half marathon’s worth of climbing. She’s done the hard things, and she’ll be the first to tell you it wasn’t the distance that changed her, it was the people alongside her.

“The suffering is where you find each other. That’s the bit nobody warns you about, and the bit you never forget. Every extraordinary journey starts with someone ordinary choosing to take the first step.” Rachel White

That’s the heartbeat of APEX. Not podiums. Not PBs. The moment a stranger becomes your teammate because you’ve both been through something that words don’t quite cover.

“When I met Rachel I knew immediately. She doesn’t just inspire people, she walks with them. That’s rare, and that’s exactly what APEX is built on.” Adam, Co-Founder

Your first step is waiting. Rachel’s proof it’s worth taking. 🏔️

AMBASSADOR ANNOUNCEMENT 🏔️

Welcome to the APEX family, Naomi Benson.

Soldier. Ultra runner. Record breaker.

Naomi serves in the British Army and recently set the Fastest Known Time on Dartmoor’s Manumit All Tors Route — 160 miles, all 119 tors, one relentless push across the moor.

But what makes Naomi an APEX ambassador isn’t the record. It’s why she runs.

In her own words:

“Through trail running, I’ve discovered not only what I’m capable of physically and mentally, but an incredible community of supportive, like-minded people. Whether in uniform or on the trails, I’ve learned that resilience comes from showing up consistently and embracing difficult challenges. I hope to inspire more women to get involved in endurance sport, find their community, and discover what they’re truly capable of.”

From our Co-Founder, Adam:

“160 miles across Dartmoor. Honestly, what more do you need to know? But it’s Naomi’s mission that got me, getting more women into this sport and this community. That’s exactly what APEX is about. Amazing to have her on board.”

We can’t wait to share the mountain with you, Naomi 🏔️

One last lap…

In the final hour, it all came down to three athletes: Ben Clough, Ben Wiley, and Paul Zlabickas.

What followed was an incredible display of grit and determination. Despite everything their bodies had been through, all three found another gear and produced a remarkable final lap to bring Apex Forge to a close.

This time, Clough had the edge, becoming the first ever Apex Forge champion.

A huge congratulations to and every athlete who stepped up to the start line and took on the challenge.

Sunday morning at Apex Forge.

After a long night on the course, 6 solo runners and 2 teams remain. They’ve battled the hills, the changing conditions, and the fatigue that comes with running through the dark.

What’s impressive is that they’re still smiling.

With 4 hours left the determination on display this morning says everything about the athletes still out there.

Well done to 1st place female, competing 12 yards. 99 started, 18 remaining.
