There was lots of foot tapping and an urge to get up and dance in the aisles on Sunday evening as AJ's Big Band set the rafters of St Peter's ringing with the music of Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller and many other Big Band greats. A truely nostalgic night of music from 40's and 50's.

Our diversion away from St Peter's Church and a Cabaret Evening was a real success. Held in The Memorial Hall at W.B. School, a good night was had by all.
There was lots of betting on horses with strange names and much cheering and waving them on.
Harry the Piano performed, as only Harry can, in his own unique way between each race, much to the delight of everyone there.
A further diversion, away from the famous W.B. refreshments, was the ample suppies of home-made breads and selection of cheeses, laid out on each table to accompany the wine, beer etc, available from the bar.

Another successful evening. I apologise to John for calling him a tenor, he is of course a baritone. Cheryl, who has not performed at the festival before, wowed the audience with her beautiful voice and vibrant personality and young Fiona, in her third consecutive year at the festival, was a sensation on the violin. Thank you to one and all for giving us such an enjoyable evening.

There are a few tickets left for our Saturday night Horse Racing and Harry the Piano night. Bet on the horses and enjoy the music of Harry between the races. The Gallery Exhibition 2013 and what a wonderful evening it turned out to be last night. A big turnout, with everyone seeming to enjoy themselves. The church looked great with the paintings, the craftwork and the flowers. The artists and flower arrangers did us proud. Thank you everyone for making the evening such a success.
