Banff Castle has produced this FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) for Loud Mouth. One topic - booze, keeps coming up again and again.
Loud Mouth is an alcohol free event. This doesn’t just mean there isn’t a bar - it means no alcohol is allowed on site or to be consumed on site.
This isn’t some kind of virtue signalling, just a desire not to get tied up in the necessity for an alcohol licence, managing a bar, hiring in a bar, and the complications that come with satisfying the demands of a safety plan that is imposed by the police and local authorities.
How you feel about that is secondary to keeping things simple in the events first year.
This is a family focused event, and not about the tipple! 🥃🍻 You are welcome to hit the pubs after the great show we’re putting on for you!
Please respect the request not to bring alcohol onto the site and put our volunteers into a position where they have to challenge you and ask you to leave.
