That's a wrap for this year!

A huge thank you to Banchory Community Trust and the volunteer team for all the hard work today behind the scenes.

Another for the fabulous Banchory Scouts, both for the lovely venue and all the help with set up. They are such a lovely bunch of youngsters and we are very grateful for the help.

For the tea, coffee, hot chocolate and mince pies, thank you Hill of Banchory School fundraising team. Much festive cheer was spread and biscuits nibbled...

Thank you to our dedicated and talented makers who braved the ice and snow and brought their wares. And thank you to YOU! All our visitors and shoppers, it's been such a treat to meet you all today!

It's not all over for Banchory festive festivities though, don't forget to check out Banchory Christmas Lights event on Friday.

And mark your diaries for next year, we'll see you back in the scout hut for more Christmas gift shopping on Saturday 21st November 2026!

What a difference an hour makes!

We are open for the day. The tea and coffee is flowing, the stall holders are all ready and the festive tunes are on.

Come along to the Scout Hut today until 3pm and support these local creatives.

Are you ready for it?

Come along and meet all these fabulous makers and GET FESTIVE!

You can also meet the charity behind us and Studio 1 , Banchory Community Trust ! They will be there selling Banchory Calendars and Tartan throws.

And finally a huge thank you to the Hill of Banchory PTA fundraising team. They will need there putting the TEA (and coffee...) into TEAm and providing refreshments for donations. Rumour has it there will be mince pies 😋 BYO travel cup or enjoy a mug of something warm while you sit and soak up the atmosphere ☕🥧

In line with The Christmas lights after 10 years building up this event we have decided to step aside at let another community group take this to the next level. We are happy to provide contacts to help organise and are happy to help on the day

📣 In order to give a new group time to get organised and raise funds, we’re letting everyone know that we’re no longer going to be organising Christmas lights for the town.

🎄 Most of the lights used in the past have now come to the end of their useful life and our key, long-serving volunteers have decided it’s time to hang up their Santa hats. As a result, we don’t have the capacity or resources to do what is required.

💡 We’re happy to share our knowledge with anyone who wants to take it on and have a little bit of funding to put towards buying new lights.

❤️ Thank you to everyone who has helped us with this and contributed time and money over the years - it’s been great fun but a lot of hard work - now it’s someone else’s turn to take the lead.

🎅Race Start Time

• The 1 Mile Elf Dash Kids Run will start at 12pm

• The 5k Adult Santa Run will start at 12.30pm

🧑‍🎄Registration

Please register at the ‘Registration Point’ near the start prior to running.

Online Entry CLOSED.

🎄Entry on the day!!!!

You can enter on the day for £10pp!

🎅 Where does the race start?

The race starts on the grass within the Bellfield Park beside the amusements.

🧑‍🎄 Santa Hats/Suits

Santa Hats will be available for all runners.

However, if you don’t have one, when picking one up from the registration desk, we would really appreciate a SMALL DONATION where all funds will be put back to support the local community.

If individuals have their own Santa Hat or Suit, please feel free to wear it and be as Festive looking as possible!!! More daft the better….

🎅 Race Route Info

Kids Race - The 1 Mile Elf Race will be within the grounds of the Bellfield and KGV park.

5k Adults Race - This race is a new race. The race is 5k and is ‘out and back’ within the Deeside Line.

🎅 Toilets

The public toilets in the Bellfield Car Park will be available.

🧑‍🎄 Catering

Hot drinks and a mix of Home bakes will be supplied by Banchory Community FC

🎄 Race Warm-up Info

There will be a short warm-up delivered by SB Fitness.

🎅 Prizes and Gifts

In both the Adult and Kids races, there will be a prize for individuals who catch the Turkey Runner!

It is a Fun Run but there will be 1st place prizes for P1-3 (Boy/Girl), P4/7 (Boy/Girl), Male/Female in adult race.

Please note, adults can run with their child during the kids race.

🎁 Marshal Info

Could all Marshals please meet at the race HQ at the Bellfield Car Park for 11.30am. Hot drink and fine piece will be provided! 😋

As stated previously, please be aware that all monies raised from the Santa Run will be donated to local causes within the local community.
