Balfron 10k

Balfron 10k The Mulberry Bush Montessori Balfron 10k will take place on Sunday 3rd May 2026 at 11am.

It has been voted the number one 10k in Scotland by readers of a Runners World magazine. The event attracts over 600 entrants from all over Scotland and has raised over £68,000 for Balfron Primary, Balfron High School and charities. The race, which has been voted the best 10K in Scotland again by the readers of Runner’s World, takes place at Balfron Campus on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 11am (Subject to confirmation)

A huge thank you to everyone who ran the Mulberry Bush Montessori Balfron 10k yesterday. We loved having you on our spectacular course.
We couldn’t do it without all the support we got from our marshals, volunteers, Balfron Scouts and P7 pupils (you were amazing), Balfron Parent Council, Bellrock staff, Stirling Council, tidy-uppers. Thank you all 👏

**IMPORTANT INFO FOR RUNNERS**

Looking forward to seeing all our runners tomorrow. 😀
If your race pack hasn’t been delivered then don’t worry we will sort out your race number/chip at our registration desk. You will find it just outside the main school building. Just arrive a little bit early for us to facilitate this.
Previous entrants will know that we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our event. Since 2019 we have removed single use plastic water bottles on the water station and at the finish line. This year, please remember to bring adequate hydration for when you have finished the race.
There will also be top up taps at the campus for you to replenish your own hydration supply.
💧On route there will be a water station and we ask you to return the plastic cups when you have finished using them. At the finish line there will be water available in plastic cups, please return them when you have finished using them.

Come and support tomorrow’s(Sunday, May 3) Mulberry Bush Montessori Balfron 10k and Family Fun Run at Balfron Campus, from 10am. As well as watching the fun run (10.15am) and 10k (11am) there will be music, cakes and hot drinks by Balfron Parent Council, fun and games from Active Stirling plus Balfron Book Festival, a treasure hunt, plus you can support Changing Lives Malawi by donating your preloved trainers, crocs and sliders and learn more about the Back Onside charity which does such valuable work around mental health.
Hope to see some of you tomorrow for this fabulous community event.

Car parking for the 2026 Mulberry Bush Montessori Balfron 10k:
Car share if possible. There are a number of available car parks around the village, please give plenty of time and be prepared to park on the village streets as car parking spaces are limited. Please do not use the golf course or church parking as these will be required.
Balfron High School G63 0PW (Race venue);
Adjacent to the race venue. As the Balfron High campus car park access crosses the race route, it will close at 10:00 and will not open until 12:45 at the earliest.
Balfron Primary School G63 0PD:
Adjacent to the race venue. Spaces available.
Balfron Masonic Hall G63 0TX:
10-15 minutes walk from the race venue.
No parking at the former Shearers Garage, now Morrisons/Highland Fuels, G63 0TW.
Balfron street parking:
Please show consideration for local residents when parking, and do not park on Roman Road as this is part of the race route. Balfron is fairly small but please leave at least 15 minutes to get to the race venue.
There will be race marshals in hi-viz jackets on surrounding streets who will be able to offer parking guidance.

A big thank you to Mulberry Bush Montessori Balfron 10k supporters Highland Fuels/Morrisons Daily Balfron and Gym 63 for providing prizes for our event on Sunday, May 3.
Among the prizes for our first placed male and female runners will be these fabulous hampers courtesy of Highland Fuels/Morrisons.
Our G63 winners will receive 3-month membership at Balfron-based Gym 63 including classes.

Clear out your shoe cupboard and help others!
Mulberry Bush Montessori Balfron 10k will again be supporting Changing Lives Malawi with a preloved shoe collection this Sunday, May 3, our race day.
The charity will be Balfron High School campus, collecting preloved shoes and trainers to send to those in need in Malawi.
Shoes should be clean and in good condition. All sizes of flipflops/sliders/crocs/school shoes and trainers needed. Suggested donation is £1 to help cover transport costs on the container.
We collected a sizeable amount last year but let’s see if we can grow the pile on Sunday🤞

Just a heads-up regarding the road closure on Sunday for the Mulberry Bush Montessori Balfron 10k and Balfron Family Fun Race. Roman Road will be closed from 10am-1pm to allow for our runners to pass through safely. We will endeavour to open the road earlier if all our runners have completed the course. Thanks in anticipation for your patience and understanding.
